5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent reference book for all options traders
This book has it all with the strategies outlined in a very concise manner. Not only is every strategy listed with a nice synopsis of each one, an example of a trade is listed on every one. Also, every advantage and disadvantage of each strategy along with an exit strategy should the trade start to turn south. The nice thing about it, is it is so easy to look up a strategy you might want to try without having to comb through the entire book. And each one is listed by type of investor, aggressive, income, etc.
5-0 out of 5 stars Good Reference
A no-nonsense, no-introductory-material reference library of option strategies. Cross-referenced by goal, risk tolerance, strategy type, name, and more. Herein one easily can find each strategy described with its theoretical outcomes, its benefits, and its drawbacks. Order entry and exit procedures and Greeks also accompany each strategy.
5-0 out of 5 stars A great book that teaches
So many financial books are hard to follow. The author usually gives a vauge idea of what they do to make money in the market. The process is given in easy to read examples of what you do if you think (A) is going to happpen you do this (B).

4-0 out of 5 stars Helpful Insight
I've been on a leadership book kick lately, and this is one of my all-time favorites. It's short, easy to read, and is one of the best explanations of cognitive dissonance for the layman I've ever seen. It doesn't work for everybody though - some people are turned off by the "fable" format and simple writing style. I still find it very helpful, and it's the kind of book that can have a dramatic impact on some of its readers. It certainly does a good job of making the point that by focusing on our own behavior we can make any situation better.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not About Leadership
This book is not really about leadership. It is about being nice to people. And remember, any problem you have with another person in life is your fault. So, apologize, start over, and be nice.

5-0 out of 5 stars Leadership and Self-Deception
This is an excellent resource on dealing with conflict, in the business world or in family life. The authors present their ideas in a story format that is very easy to read.I would recomment this book to anyone, we all need the lessons taught in this book. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Do The Right Thing Because It Is The Right Thing: Long-winded, Short on Substance
"Moral Intelligence: Enhancing Business Performance and Leadership Success" by Doug Lennick has a simple premise. Once you get that premise, the rest is about internalizing it, and living it out when the moral challenge presents itself.
5-0 out of 5 stars Superb
In business or financial circles, morality and ethics has frequently been thought of as weakness, as something that while noble will not assist in the generation of profits. Further, those who practice it can easily be taken advantage of by competitors. A business run by moral agents will not be able to survive the vicissitudes of the marketplace. It takes cunning and an instinct for the jugular, so the argument goes, to create and maintain a successful business.Another view is that a businessperson who claims to be moral or ethical is either posing as such in order to take advantage of someone or some situation. In this view, morality and ethics are then tools of manipulation and power, a view that is, ironically, not far from that of those political philosophers, such as Karl Marx, who criticize capitalism vociferously.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good Concept, Treatment OK
Having read a number of books brought to us by Wharton Publishing, this one was a bit disappointing. Wharton has high standards for its business books, requiring them to be relevant, timely, empirically based, conceptually sound, and implementable in real decision settings. While this book does meet those criteria, I felt the concentration on the moral intelligence topic was diluted by what I perceived to be over-attention to emotional intelligence. I didn't feel the strength and focus I anticipated, particularly given my high expectations of Wharton books.

"The best way to understand the dramatic transformation of unknown books into bestsellers, or the rise of teenage smoking, or the phenomena of word of mouth or any number of the other mysterious changes that mark everyday life," writes Malcolm Gladwell, "is to think of them as epidemics. Ideas and products and messages and behaviors spread just like viruses do." Although anyone familiar with the theory of memetics will recognize this concept, Gladwell's Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent book that describes how to create a trend
I was fascinated by the original perspective in this thought provoking book about the evolution of an idea into a trend.Using easy to understand examples, Malcolm Gladwell explains the mechanics of the process, and enlightens us about the the various people involved.I strongly recommend this book.I also recommend Robert Cialdini's book, Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion. These books complement each other and should be read together.

4-0 out of 5 stars The Tipping Point
Staff writer for The New York Post, Malcolm Gladwell, explains what causes a concept, idea or item to become an epidemic in The Tipping Point.Using case studies the reader will relate to (Sesame Street, Blues Clues, Crime in New York City in the 90's, Hush Puppies, Paul Revere's famous ride North), Gladwell discusses how and why people react the way they do in certain situations and to certain ideas/items.You'll look at your friends, co-workers and family in a different way as you consider who is a Connector, Maven or salesperson, you'll consider the context in which something happens as opposed to just the action, you'll think about everyday happenings in a different way after you read this book.
5-0 out of 5 stars It had quite an unusual effect
I was looking for an original and valuable present for my boyfriend. I am very pleased with my decision to buy this book. It draws from several areas of knowledge and Malcolm Gladwell is a very skillful writer. He knows how to engage you from the first page till the last one and keeps you wondering what more you will learn from this incredible book. My boyfriend said that the tipping point and scientifically guaranteed male multiple orgasms and ultimate sex are the best, most valuable and eye-opening books he has ever received as a present. Well, I don't hear such compliment every day. It was such a small thing for me to give him a present and yet it turned so important for him. What better proof for Gladwell's thesis. I also agree that we all should start paying more attention to the small, small things and details from our daily lives and the result may astound us. It takes so little to even change someone's life for better. This is one of the books, which I definitely recommend. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good book for most people
So many people complain that they read leadership books and their is "nothing new" about them. Stop reading so many books and go lead! The basics of leadership don't drastically change. I've been teaching college classes on leadership for three years now and I've read dozens of books on leadership. The basic principles are often the same. It is a matter of finding someone whose examples and style make you relate to them and understand how to act them out.
5-0 out of 5 stars Refreshing views of a line manager on leadership
This book came to me awash in a sea of management guides and pamphlets in an internal training program for managers. My boss is transforming the culture of an organization, and this book fit right in.What made it the best handout from the training program?
5-0 out of 5 stars Documented Account of Progressive Leadership Results
This was my vacation read this year. I am not the kind of person who reads work related books, required or not, while on holiday. In fact, I am no longer in a position in which I am supervising others, but my wife brought the book home as it had become suggested reading in her company. The book is well thought out, enjoyable to read, full of real life stories, thoughtful analysis and practical conclusions.

3-0 out of 5 stars Decent Book for the Business Minded
I'm not a big Welch fan. I feel he is disingenuous; pretending his success is due to management ra-ra. He can't hide from his past; "Neutron Jack" and his brutal business tactics, extensive pollution and massive layoffs.

1-0 out of 5 stars One more book to help corporate America
Oh my, one more motivational speaker, one more book about helping corporate America pad its pockets while its workers are supposed to ignore the core greed and put a smile on their faces and be Freds while the big shots benefit. Sorry, this just doesn't resonate with workers today who see their "profit centers" being sucked dry by the big home office and they are supposed to chin up and be a Fred regardless of the way the big boys (and ladies) are destroying the company they work for. Let's hope Fred is still practicing the Fred Factor when he shows up at WalMart or Dollar General looking for a job because his work has been outsourced, his branch consolidated or his job merged with three others.
5-0 out of 5 stars I know the author and he lives his message
Lots of people learn good ideas about successful living and restate them for others, but not so many actually put them into practice in their own lives. Mark Sanborn lives his message. The Fred Factor is not just stories from an author. It is also life wisdom from a practitioner. Mark's personal and professional life, when viewed over two decades (as I have), are inspiring. He's the kind of guy you want living in your neighborhood and whose kids you want playing with your kids.
5-0 out of 5 stars Simple and Powerful!
This was a great book on several levels.First, it was fun to read.I love the story of Fred.Second, it had some very powerful business concepts. What I love about them is that they aren't complicated or difficult to put to use.It really took me back to basics - the things I have to do to be successful with my clients.Third, Fred reminded me of things I need to do and confirmed many things that I always knew I should do. 4-0 out of 5 stars Great book , short and sweet
I received this book as part of a [...]. It took me about an hour and a half to read the whole book. It is a great book, very simply and succintly written. The ideas presented are some that we were always taught in school but probably failed to follow somewhere along the way. It teaches us to be good to others , even if they are our enemies, because what goes around , comes around. If you do good to others , it will come back to you. The nice cubes are especially helpful. I have noticed that I do make a conscious effort on my part every day to be good to others at work and at home even if I dont have to. It makes my day go better :)

Useful examples on howhelping supposed enemies is often good business; insightful ideas on treating today's adversaries like tomorrow's allies; unconvential tactics on moving your frames from "no" to "yes".By the time the flight was ready to board, the book read through---a lot wiser. 4-0 out of 5 stars You Catch a Glimpse of the Man
Business memoirs are usually way too self serving to tell you anything useful, but this one is an exception. Weill has many dramatic stories and, despite the co-author, conveys enough of what appears to be his real thoughts to be interesting. This is one of the toughest and wiliest - no pun - players on Wall Street, but one actually feels for him when he describes the trap New York attorney-general Spitzer set for Citigroup just as Weill thought the bank's legal problems were under control. Analyst Grubman's emails were leaked, the scandal was all over the press, but Weill and Citigroup couldn't really respond. He was like a mouse trying to dodge a menacing cat, while forbidden to make any noise. So powerful a chief executive was forced into a pitiful situation--yet the government didn't have a case with the Grubman revelations and nothing came of it. In the meanwhile, Citigroup's stock tanked. Some poor innocent investor who happened to own it lost money as the prosecutors played with Weill until they decided there was no case against him. Life isn't fair and the government much less so. Not that Weill has reason to complain, all in all: he went to the bank and came out with a fortune. As distinguished a career as possible, through the ups and downs and despite the tribulations toward the end with Spitzer. Definitely worth reading.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very usable education
Great book of Wisdom. Most importantly USABLE. Well written, no details left out on EXACTLY HOW to do each step. You can tell Thomas has "been there, done that". Unimagineable amount of professional resources that comes with the book.

5-0 out of 5 stars COMPREHENSIVELY awesome
I like this because it is indeed a "kit".It is comprehensive guide to pre-foreclosures and taking advantage of things before auction. It will probably take the average reader 3-4 times to comprehend everything.
1-0 out of 5 stars Everything you ever wanted to know about foreclosures but was afraid to ask
I purchased this book some 6-8 months ago and I have used it and the resourses provided by Thomas on a daily basis.I am a nurse and I am looking to retire int he nxt couple of years. You cannot buy another book on the market that provide the informaiton and resources that this book provides. Editorial Review

Personal-finance author and lecturer Robert Kiyosaki developed his unique economic perspective through exposure to a pair of disparate influences: his own highly educated but fiscally unstable father, and the multimillionaire eighth-grade dropout father of his closest friend. The lifelong monetary problems experienced by his "poor dad" (whose weekly paychecks, while respectable, were never quite sufficient to meet family needs) pounded home the counterpoint communicated by his "rich dad" (that "the poor and the middle class work for money," but "the rich have money work for them"). Taking that message to heart, Kiyosaki was able to retire at 47. Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Not much to learn
I found his advises similar with what I knew since my childhood (save money, invest to bring you more money, don't spend much, real estate is good, etc). It does not give tips on what "rich" people know (at least I suspect they would know more). Like how and where to get valuable information. How to buy stocks, what to look for, nothing of that. May be inspirational book for some, a poor kid who became rich... Tells 100 times the same things, annoying at some point.
2-0 out of 5 stars "Good" Salesman; QuestionableBook
RICH DAD, POOR DAD seems contradictory in more than one way:economically and philosophically.Probably, Kiyosaki's most inviting, yet deceptive, chapters is Eight, "Overcoming obstacles."Here, he is at his most fervent; one can feel he believes what he is writing is true. But it is not necessarily true about life itself.
5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT!
This book is very motivational and understandable. It doesnt matter what your background is on investing, this book will help you learn and identify great investments! It reveals the way you think and how to develope the right way of thinking for Wealth!

5-0 out of 5 stars This is practical money-making info, unlike most internet marketing BS...
I've spent thousands (ok probably tens of thousands) of dollars on information about how to make money online. If you're like me, you already know that 99% of the stuff out there is garbage.
3-0 out of 5 stars One Thumb Up
This text was good in providing elementary facts of adsense. Most of the content is filler, though. It's published on cheap, thick paper. I implemented several things, though.

5-0 out of 5 stars Solid Book for Professionals
A guide to the project management body of knowledge is absolutely wonderful. It explains every area that you need to know in detail, is very comprehensive and informative.
3-0 out of 5 stars Good for Process Description but Not to be Used Alone for Exam
The PMBOK Guide lays out the PMI processes but doesn't not provide enough detail on use or situational relationships to be used along for exam preparation.Good also for showing the process flows/interaction.

5-0 out of 5 stars John Blakely PMP on the PMBOK
I have been a project manager most of my life but generally under different names than project manager. The facts that I learned and more are captured in the PMBOK.In fact, this book dissects the knowledge of project management in several ways so that it can be fitted to all companies and industries.
