5-0 out of 5 stars Excelente método para poner en práctica.
3-0 out of 5 stars Read between the lines.
It seems that a lot of people expect that books meant to be an introduction to forex trading should reveal precise secrets on how they can immediately become wealthy.Raghee is apparently quite successful as a Forex Trading Mentor. Although I have no personal experience with her training programs I was interested to learn what she has to say about the Forex market and did not expect that she would attempt to reveal everything she knows in a book.First of all, it would not be possible because learning to trade Forex requires ongoing mentoring and interaction with mentors over a period of months to years.Second of all, those who are interested in learning more will consider actual mentoring programs and/or getting to know people who are already successful in the business of trading. Therefore I would give Raghee the credit she is due for writing this book as an introduction to help people decide if further training is right for them.

2-0 out of 5 stars Terrible support.
Book read fine, but a simple question regarding whether her software plugin was a 1 time or monthly fee has gone unanswered 6 times via her contact information listed onher website mentioned in the book. Makes me wonder how sincere she is. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars This book changed my life!!!
Well, maybe it didn't exactly change my life, but it gave my law firm a new direction. My firm specializes in strategic transactions - initial public offerings, private placements, mergers & acquisitions - but we had steered clear of reverse mergers because of the uncertainty and confusion. Feldman and Dresner cleared up that confusion we now offer reverse mergers as part of our services.
5-0 out of 5 stars excellent book
This is a most informative book and tells you how to do it. The concept is mysterious at first but is clearly explained in this book. It is a must for anyone considering taking his business public. I highly recomend it.

5-0 out of 5 stars An excellent investment if you're interested in reverse mergers
If you want to know the right way to organize and structure Reverse Mergers, this is the book to go for. It's an excellent up to date reference as well as a guidebook of do's, don'ts and "tricks of the trade"; even better, it's written so both newbies and professionals can benefit from it.

the right book, at the right time, in the right place... dubai

5-0 out of 5 stars A must - read for anyone involved in complex development partnerships
Although this book addressed many tricky scenarios for land use and development, it was the only definitive guide I could find that addressed the acquisition of funding for commercial (high density residential) projects involving multiple partners. I'm sure I will be referring back to it regularly!

5-0 out of 5 stars What a Phenomenal Job!
I read construction funding, prematurely perhaps, as one of my first ever real estate books - and I loved it! The book takes the reader through several once-real-life scenarios and explains the construction process step by step. I think that both ambitious beginners and more seasoned loan officers and developers would benefit from reading this book. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars All about trading in the stock market
William O'neal covers all major stock trading areas in this book: how to find a broker, his CAN SLIM method for making money on stocks, When to sell, how to diversify, when to buy options, he shows charts of the biggest stock winners from 1953 to 1993, how to read stock price history charts and much more. It is a lot of information to take in and is not for beginners. I would advise reading "The neatest little guide to the stock market" before reading this book if you are just starting out in the land of individual stocks.
4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent book, but use your experience also
If anyone read How To Make Money In Stocks once or twice and made aconsistent profit over the last three years, my hat is off to them!
5-0 out of 5 stars This is a great introductory book
This is a very good introductory book for stock trading. Its concept of CAN-SLIM system provides an entry point for novice of how to do stock trading. Besides, it also points out many bad habits of major investors which should be avoided. Even for experienced investors, this book is good for review too. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Limited Good Info. Maybe Usabale
I have to tell you.... this author is really not a writer, BUT he has something to say. It's true about the poor presentation, grammar issues, etc. BUT, like I said the author does have something to say - moreso in everyday layman's language. I believe he could have spent a little money on having it properly published - nicer layout, proofing, etc., BUT even I got the message. Trust me you have more to gain than lose.
4-0 out of 5 stars This book in very helpful
I was impressed with the writing in this book. I think that this book should be used as a teaching guide.

1-0 out of 5 stars Good for people thinking about starting in the industry, terrible for everyone else
I've been in the mortgage industry for a very short time (about 7 months), but I am always looking for new ways to sharpen my client interaction techniques.I was very excited to see this book, but once I read through it, I've got to say I'm very disappointed.Anyone whose been in the industry for more than 3 months could have written the content inside this book; it's more of an overview of how the mortgage industry works. That, plus the second half of the book is a marketing tool for more expensive training programs (up to $500 for something you can find at loantoolbox) give this book 1 paltry star. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars "Slogging" Defined
OK folks, here's a contrarian review of this book.Consider it an opinion which "balances" other reviews presented in this book review section. Here goes.
4-0 out of 5 stars Very good book, but not for beginners
The book requires solid knowledge of accounting so not recommended for beginners. Do not expect long explanations and illustrations. They just give some basic examples and generally they don't provide journal entries. It is not an accounting book! Don't be scared if first time there are parts that are not clear as the chapters are interlinked. Give it another chance.

3-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good book
My accounting professor recommended this book ... found it to be very useful to get a handle on many accounting principles I was struggling with in my MBA course. What I like the best about the book is that it allows you to et as detailed as you want to get - it all depends on your interest. For instance I just wanted to get familiar with some issues like accounting for pension and it has very well explained the basics of pension accounting and on other hand where I wanted to get into details of handling of stock options it had all the details I was looking for. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars This book sucks if you're learning for the first time.
This book is TERRIBLE.I am an engineer in an MBA program. The book is supposedly for non accountants, but I don't see how it's possible to understand this book if you're not an accountant. If you're unfortunate and have to use this book, find a good book that you can actually read to supplement the subject.

5-0 out of 5 stars Buy this book if you are not a moron
This is easily the best textbook I've ever read. It deftly explains extremely complicated financial theory in plain english. If other reviewers found it hard, it's because finance is hard--really hard. This book, however, is written to make it as simple as possible.

4-0 out of 5 stars Must Have for Business School Students
This is the main text used in most of the top undergraduate business programs in the US.Now in its 7th edition, Brealey and Myers still do a good job updating their already thick book to include new and relevant topics.I have read the 5th and 6th editions too, and they were fine books. The books are written for a general audience, and requires only a basic background in accounting. The rest of the material is pretty self-contained, but the treatment of some topics is quite shallow.I like the capital budgeting part of this book, as it provides a very good discussion on the subject matter.

1-0 out of 5 stars Poorly written book - will not recommend
This book is very difficult to understand even with a basic background in finance and economics. There is no structure, no clear definitions or definitions at all. I do not understand why the majority of instructors chose this text. There even are errors in the solutions for the practice questions. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Extremely useful for financial accounting
Financial accounting is a difficult subject but this book helps break down the concepts in a way that is easier to understand.

2-0 out of 5 stars not a good book for beginners
the whole structure of the book is ot comprehensible. it gives out 3 financial statements at the first 3 chapters, without letting the readers to have time digest the concepts. after you are confused enough, the book will then introduce concepts of each items listed in the statements, and have you look back at the first three chapters.
4-0 out of 5 stars What do you expect from an accounting book???
Having never taken an accounting class before, I didn't know what to expect. This was the text assigned for my first accounting class in an MBA program at an elite Northeastern Business School. It is a pretty straight-forward read. Let's face it, accounting is a subject full of jargon that you MUST learn. It is just one of those subjects.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good Informal Intro to Financial Math
Doesn't require post-graduate college courses (if you've ever done calculus and simple statistics, you're in, but you can get by with less).Definitely keeps it light and fun while pouring lots of info into your brainpan.
2-0 out of 5 stars May depend on your background
Not interesting, dry and lacks math details. Lacks economic intuition. For me, Hull's book even does a better job explaining Ito's calculus. But Math/Physics guys may like it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Develop Advanced Financial Modeling Skills
As a university teacher of strategic corporate finance and optimal investment, I have watched the financial industry analytics transcend hand calculation with financial calculators to financial modeling with spreadsheet software. Depending on whether the financial specialty is in corporate or banking/brokerage, the job skills requirement can range from corporate cost control to optimal portfolio design. Thus, modeling skills services both company research and financial planning.

5-0 out of 5 stars Promise fulfilled
I was a big fan of Michael Mauboussin when he was at CSFB writing a piece called "The Consilient Observer" for CSFB's clients. When he left CSFB for Legg Mason, I wondered when he would publish a book with the same material, this time for public consumption. So when this book was released, I immediately ordered a copy.Having read through much of it, I can relate that it is a nicely arranged set of self-sufficient chapters which comprehensively covers the same material as "The Consilient Observer," but with some revisions and consolidation. Each chapter presents a new concept and its implications to the market and investment. The book is chock full of information.I cannot recommend it enough.

5-0 out of 5 stars A short primer on multidiscplinary thinking.
Simply loved it! One of the most thought provoking books that I've read in a long, long time. The essays are short, but the concepts are deep. Plenty of research and thought went into each essay and it really shows.
2-0 out of 5 stars Interesting But A Little Too Eggheaded For Most Investors.
From the land of pseudo-science, written in a didactic approach (like a good professsor should), comes this years winner for economic creativity.Full of theorum, statistics, abstraction, complexities, cute little pictures and sometimes difficult to grasp, this book has some interesting and refreshing perspectives including how certain natural behaviors parallel the same behaviors found in investing.

3-0 out of 5 stars Dissapointing
This book was very hyped up in the other reviews and I couldn't wait to start reading it, but was dissapointed. The author has a different approach than Fabozzi, but it just doesn't work for me.Too many times he makes a statement and then doesn't justify it or add more color to make it relevant or put it in context. The math is confusing.Sometimes the book does not flow well.Instead of continuing to criticize the book, I'll recommend the best book I have ever found on the topic: "Fixed Income Analysis" by Frank Fabozzi. This is the book that Frank wrote for the CFA Program and if you read the preface, you'll know why it is so good.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fixed Income Securities by Bruce Tuckman
This item was sent in excellent condition.I did however, request that it be sent within 2 business days and it was not.

5-0 out of 5 stars Forget Fabozzi
I used to really like Fabozzi books, until he decided to flood the market with quantity instead of quality. Now when you try to find meaningful information, and correct information, about modern asset pricing for fixed income, mortgages, and other coupon instruments, you cannot rely on Fabozzi.Instead, rely on this book.It is perhaps the clearest, best introduction to fixed income curve building, pricing methods, market conventions, and mathematics you can find.I look forward to equally as high quality from Tuckman and will be the first in line for his next book.

5-0 out of 5 stars No Surprises Here
Adkisson and Riser are beacons in the darkness that is labeled asset protection. This book, and the attitudes it sets forth towards asset protection (when that term may be discretely used) are the de facto standard of care and woe be to the professional who believes otherwise. I say there are no surprises because the book is the embodiment of the professional, real life anti-scam viewpoint in this area Jay Adkisson has come to represent. Do not ignore the fact most of these five star reviews are by attorneys like myself who see the aftermath of so-called asset protection, off-shore entities and third world trusts. Don't miss it.

5-0 out of 5 stars A "must read"!!
I have practiced estate planning, with an emphasis on asset protection planning, for many years. This book's explanation of various asset protection techniques, many of which I have used in my own practice, is both lucid and thorough. Not only will experienced practitioners find the book to be an invaluable source, but beginners too will discover a text that is highly readable and easy to understand. I am confident saying that Asset Protection spans "the universe" of such techniques, with both analysis of the fundamental "building blocks" of the area and coverage of more advanced methodologies. Apart from its useful content, I also found the format of Asset Protection to be particularly straightforward, starting with its discussion of the basic concepts of asset protection and its goals, as well as ethical considerations, proceeding to cover many trusts currently being employed in sophisticated estate planning, and ending with a thorough discussion of entities that should play a part in many sophisticated estate plans. In sum, for beginner and practitioner alike, this book is a "must read"!!
5-0 out of 5 stars The Bible for "Legitimate" Asset Protection Techniques
As a business lawyer, I regularly review asset protection resources so I can better represent my clients - many of whom develop high net-worths through high risk activities (e.g., physicians, "aggressive" entrepreneurs).Until reading this particular book, all of the resources have typically fallen into one of two categories: (1) materials proposing techniques that sound too good to be true and, based on recent legal decisions, have been proven to be too good to be true, and (2) materials that simply discuss the absolute basics of asset protection planning.
