5-0 out of 5 stars Extraordinary
This is one of the most unusual, in-depth and extraordinary books I have read recently. Robert Greene is definitely into the know how of "the art of seduction". I agree that this is quite controversial topic and no wonder that some people are reluctant to explore this area of knowledge. Unfortunately, the reality nowadays makes it a must read. Why? Companies try to manipulate people, medias try to channel your opinion and mindset, and if you are successful and good looking man then there may be many women racing to capture you exclusively for themselves. I am thankful to Greene for revealing that seduction is an old art that is relevant more than ever and it is better to know as much as possible about it. Of course, if your intention is to score better with women then I strongly recommend in addition the bestseller scientifically guaranteed male multiple orgasms and ultimate sex. The ultimate goal of such books is to give you an edge over the others, the competition. If you have it, then it will be easier for you to advance and have fun along the way. Otherwise, you may be one of the left behind by someone else who knows the pros and cons in and out of bed.

5-0 out of 5 stars Yes it is an art!
Greene has clearly drawn out the ways of the seducer. Most of the men and women in here are naturals at seduction and are not consciously doing the principles taught. But those that tend to mess up their seductions can learn quite a few things from these people. With everything i teach at my site The Seduction Bible, i still believe that this book is excellent for those looking to score that one special girl. Those wanting to learn how to go out to a bar to pick up a woman are better off on sites like mine. But this book deserves 5 stars!

5-0 out of 5 stars Interesting read.
I thought this book was a very interesting read but wonder, will it really work in real life? There are principals to apply and prehaps morals to leave at the door, which seems to be what others are concerned about. However, it probably will work, if you can deal with the fallout that might happen.

5-0 out of 5 stars Think Like A Champion : Building Success One Victory at a Time
In review of the autobiography I read, Think Like a Champion: Building Success One Victory at a Time by Mike Shanahan, I learned a great deal about succeeding on the football field. But more importantly, I learned about succeeding in life.
5-0 out of 5 stars Building success one victory at a time.
I have heard this advice before: If you want to be successful5-0 out of 5 stars What a Success Story!Motivational!
A die-hard Broncos fan from the days dying watching those ridiculous striped socks and watching Fran Tripuka get killed, what a job Shanahan did turning it around into two Super Bowls in a row.Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Was he taking a nap on this one?
Any book Trump pens is a good investment, and in this his second offering, he tells stories, names names, and provides worthwhile insight. But compared to The Art of the Deal and his third book, The Art of the Comeback, he seems to have done this one lying down. There is significantly less material, fewer hot scoops, and less of the bottom-line rhetoric Trump has made his style.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good insight
Who knows more about Trump than Trump himself? This is a good book if you want to know more about Trump. At times he is sincere; like when he tells of the various disadvantaged people he has helped. At times he sounds really fake; he mentions how he admires the courage of gamblers. That is alot of boloney. At times he is boastful; the Trump Princess is the best yacht ever built. But hate him or love him, he says it like it is.He seems very vindictive as evident with his numerous attacks on some very famous people throughout the book. But for those who are his friends, he has nothing but praise for them.He doesn't play politics, but what he does do is make deals and makes a whole bunch of them in this book. One of the recurring themes of the book is to wait for the right price even if it means giving it up and not to let emotions dictate the price. In many instances, the deal comes back to him and at an even better price than ever.

5-0 out of 5 stars Success secrets from the Giants
In this great audio program, Napolean Hill shares the secrets he learned from Carnegie, Ford, Edison and other legendary giants of the early 20th century.--- and the common set of universal principles that Hill discovered at the root of their success.5-0 out of 5 stars Good to Hear the Old Man Speak
I like listening to the inflections and style of that old Napoleon Hill. Keep in mind that the audio is kinda rough to listen to because it was recorded a long time ago. The ideas and thoughts of this person will live on forever.

4-0 out of 5 stars A Good Read!
Doc Morey's inexpensive, practical book takes a no-nonsense approach to operating effectively on the telephone. He gives special attention to people who perform customer-service and sales roles. The book briefly describes common worker-on-the-phone problems and offers a quick rundown on how to overcome them. Its concise format helps make it a handy reference guide for anyone who regularly works on the telephone. The specific, efficient tools offered actually can increase your telephone effectiveness, so we [...] recommend this book for anyone who uses the phone in business, especially telemarketers and customer service representatives. Supervisors might want to take a look, as well, so they can train staffers and develop guidelines.

5-0 out of 5 stars This book should get 10 stars
When I first started my business 13 years ago I didn't know the first thing about marketing. The book is divided into two parts, 50 things you can do that don't cost anything and 50 things that cost. This book was my bible and there were only 3 things that wouldn't work with my business. My phone began to ring and my friends were impressed with my marketing skills. I didn't feel I had marketing skills. I just knew how to read and follow instructions. I highly recommend this book for anyone getting started or for anyone just wanting to jump start their business and see if there is anything that they could do and maybe aren't.

5-0 out of 5 stars Common sense is really not so common!
I received this book and was thoroughly impressed with it's simplicity and layout.I was feeling very nervous about opening my own retail store in beautiful Hawai'i, but Jay Conrad Levinson's books really helped me to quantify what EXACTLY I need to do to lessen my fear of venturing into the unknown *insert final frontier styled music here, lol*Incidentally, I was able to get a great location, but I learned that the buck does not stop just there - with my arsenal of low cost marketing tactics, I really think that we can enjoy some kick arse sales. We have been open for three business days, who knows what the future may bring - however, due to the aid of these books, Im feeling more confident about the unknown.Marketing, service and quality of product is key, baby.Cheers, Veronica

5-0 out of 5 stars Another "HIT" for Jay!
Jay Conrad Levinson has done it again, this book is great if you do not have alot of time or inclination to read alot of books on marketing. This book condenses much of what you need to know to effectively market your products ro services in a compact package.I highly recommend this book if you need ideas and tips that work. ... Editorial Review

On any given day, one out of four Americans opts for a quick and cheap meal at a fast-food restaurant, without giving either its speed or its thriftiness a second thought. Fast food is so ubiquitous that it now seems as American, and harmless, as apple pie. But the industry's drive for consolidation, homogenization, and speed has radically transformed America's diet, landscape, economy, and workforce, often in insidiously destructive ways. Eric Schlosser, an award-winning journalist, opens his ambitious and ultimately devastating exposé with an introduction to the iconoclasts and high school dropouts, such as Harlan Sanders and the McDonald brothers, who first applied the principles of a factory assembly line to a commercial kitchen. Quickly, however, he moves behind the counter with the overworked and underpaid teenage workers, onto the factory farms where the potatoes and beef are grown, and into the slaughterhouses run by giant meatpacking corporations. Schlosser wants you to know why those French fries taste so good (with a visit to the world's largest flavor company) and "what really lurks between those sesame-seed buns." Eater beware: forget your concerns about cholesterol, there is--literally--feces in your meat. Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Easy to get lost
If you like fact reading, you'll like this.I thought he was to discriptive and went on and on and on about nonsense. Some of the info was really good, but it was hard to stay focused and really take it all in.I found my mind wondering and thinking about other things.

4-0 out of 5 stars Like a guilty little trip to the corner Mickey D's
Eric Schlosser's "Fast Food Nation" is a thorough if somewhat slanted analysis of the fast food industry. The author hooks the reader early with sweeping invectives against the titans of fast food. Before you can say "Supersize Me," you've learned that Ray Kroc and his cronies are responsible for the homogenization of global culture, the spread of E. coli and other deadly pathogens, the obesity of America's children, and the exploitation of the unskilled masses.Take a deep breath - that's just the intro.
5-0 out of 5 stars Top-notch Journalism
The author brings a high level of professionalism to his story about the growth of the fast food industry and the consequences of its ruthless pursuit of profits.

I have to admit that I am a huge fan of Napolean Hill. I loved Think and Grow Rich and I love virtually everythingelse he wrote as well.5-0 out of 5 stars Home Truths
Napolean Hill talks about attitude, outlook and how they influence a person's destiny. He's right and communicates this message to anyone who will listen. This book also has updated material more relevant to our time. If anyone is serious about changing their circumstance then this book is a good place to start.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great book about making better decisions
"Yes or No" is a story about the process of decision making and how it can be improved to make better decisions. The book tells the technique through a story of "a man" who goes on a hike with a group and learns of the 2 questions he needs to ask himself when making decisions.
4-0 out of 5 stars Many Will Find Help Here with Decision-Making
Johnson offers a very helpful book in this volume. He presents a simple guide for decision-making, one that will undoubtedly enhance the process for many persons. He essentially describes a two-step decision procedure, examining one's thinking on a given issue, then examining one's feelings on the same subject.4-0 out of 5 stars Better results and wiser decisions
Being a person who can never make up their mind, I decided it wouldn't hurt to read a book about better decision making. I enjoyed reading this book because it told a story about a man who used a 'Yes' or 'No' system to make better decisions. This made it easier to understand and apply the system to your own problems. In the story the man talks to many people who have used the system sucessfully. They give him lots of examples on how to arrive at better decisions. The 'Yes' or 'No' system is broken down into two main questions to ask yourself when making decisions. One is a practical question and the other is a private question. This allows you to use the system while making personal decisions or buisness decisions. Every day we are all faced with decisions, big and small. I have realized, from reading this book, that I seem to not think my decisions through as well as I should. I am sure that many other people share similar problems. This book acknowledges what we may not want to admit to ourselves. That many of us are knowingly making poor decisions, but we do not have the time or effort to turn them into better decisions. Reading this book may sound like a life saver to some people, but of course not everyone is going to walk away with better decision making skills.Like everything else in life, it will take time and patience to improve your decision making. But for those of you who would like to, this book could start you off on your way to turning poor decisions into better ones. ... Read more

"Advanced Selling Strategies" in an excellent audio cassette by Brian Tracy. I have now developed exceptional self-confidence in my selling abilities. 3-0 out of 5 stars It's not a helpful story - in fact, it is dangerous
I have listened to the audiotape version of this book.
3-0 out of 5 stars Just ok, nothing too inspiring
I think that I expected more.It has a few good points, but not too much that I haven't read before.May be a good starter book or good group read.I think that the Traveler's Gift by Andy Andrews is much better.

5-0 out of 5 stars Highly Recommended
I think if you want to be rich this book is a must have!Growing up in a poor family and being asian it was definitely hard and difficult to be rich, but I made it big being 27! with very similiar idea to what this book has to offer. For many its easy to be rich and stay rich, so this book will help you become rich with nothing just like how I have started out with.I recommend this book to people who really want to be rich and are honest to them selves because being rich or being a multi-millionaire or a billionaire is like a club or similiar to wining the olympics, "it takes alot of dedication and dreams, but dreams do come true" the rest will be history.Trust me when you are able to reach out and make your dreams a reality there is no feeling better, especially riding on a Bentley or a 911 you could enjoy what celebrity enjoy without anyone bothering you

5-0 out of 5 stars Touched by John Hull
On the front cover Oliver Sacks is quoted:"Staggering. . . the most extraordinary, precise, deep, and beautiful account of blindness I have ever read."But this book is primarily a message of facing change and developing methods for coping.Of compensating, of reaching out, of accepting your plight and going forward. You sense the author's despair and frustration, but he manages to see his difficulties as challenges. He engages you in the struggles he faces and overcomes. After all, he has a wife and four children, he lectures and attends conferences.Perhaps the most fascinating chapter of all, for me, was how he faced giving a lecture when he could no longer read notes. He eventually learned how to write his speech in his mind so that he could simply read one page as the next ones were being formulated.I pictured it as something like the beginning of a Star Wars movie.John Hull has somelthing to teach us all.
5-0 out of 5 stars Moving memoir
Heard the taped version of TOUCHING THE ROCK by John 5-0 out of 5 stars A stunning picture of what it is like to become blind
This book was given to me as a gift a few years ago, and while I am neither going blind nor am actually blind, I found many of the ideas and experiences and thoughts and feelings expressed in this book to be very similar to my own.I have some particular cognitive difficulties (prosopagnosia, often called "face blindness") which give me a rather different outlook on life from most people, and I was amazed to see just how much in common my outlook on life was when compared with the author's life experiences.Well, maybe I wasn't that surprized, but it was still an eye-opening (no pun intended) experience for me to read this book in that context.Read more

Editorial Review

Let's get one thing straight: Carl Hiaasen doesn't like the Walt Disney Company. Whenever the giant entertainment conglomerate stumbles, as it did with its proposed Civil War theme park in Virginia, Hiaasen cheers. When a rhinoceros mysteriously dies at Disney's new theme park, Animal Kingdom, Hiaasen secretly hopes for the worst, because, as he writes, "no scandal is so delectable as a Disney scandal." 3-0 out of 5 stars Fundimentally flawed, but a fun think piece.
In Team Rodent, Carl Hiaasen delivers an honestly entertaining picture of his own reservations at what he sees as the Disney Corporation's attempts at becoming a culturally omnipotent force. This piece is more of a political pamphlet in format: it's too long to be considered a simple essay, but it's certainly short enough to be read in a single sitting.
3-0 out of 5 stars A quick, fun read for Hiaasen's fans
Not much to add beyond the title of this review. Yup, Carl despises Disney.A very lucid and well written diatribe.

4-0 out of 5 stars Carl Hiaasen Takes on the Mouse
In this essay-style book, Hiaasen takes on Disney and all its decadence from the point of view of a true Floridian. Very funny and full of disturbing Disney facts (including one about the mysterious torture and death of an Animal Kingdom rhino; ties between Disney and the destruction caused by Hurricane Andrew; and all the yucky deals made between the rat and the state of FL's government). Good read, highly entertaining for Floridians, tourists, and anyone who loves Hiaasen. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars READ THIS TO LEARN MORE ABOUT ECONOMICS!
Paul Zane Pilser did a great job of explaining the theory of Alchemy and the application of it in Supply-side and Demand-side economics can produce an unlimited amount of resources and wealth for an economy. He also does a great job of discussing technology and how it is is extremely important to economic growth, how it can greatly conserve resources, it's infinite possiblities, and much more.
5-0 out of 5 stars a unified field theory for wealth
This book describes how to build wealth broadly enough so you can apply its principles to anything. its main principle is technology unleashes your ability to build wealth and by applying dormant but existing technology to resources will create enough value for you to achieve wealth. ie using the latest version software could dramatically improve your bottom line. 5-0 out of 5 stars A Real Eye Opener
I read this book many years ago and am still impressed by the clarity of the logic. It presents a wonderful view of the world as a place of abundance and wealth. This is a beautiful contrast to the belief many people have that the world has limited resources, so the only way to get anything is to take it from someone else. This book has forever changed my worldview.Read more

Editorial Review

Sumner Redstone should be dead. At least that's what the prologue to his autobiographical tale of business trial and triumph reveals, relating the story of Redstone's narrow escape and painful recovery from a Boston hotel fire in 1979. It might also be what some of Redstone's business adversaries secretly wish after reading this revealing book. Much has been written about the man in control of the Viacom empire, but in
