Fantastic!! I wish I had followed these ideas years ago.
These tapes are literally filled with example after example of how to set and commit yourself to goal setting. And this is not boring, dry stuff. Greshes has a unique talent for making the goal setting process fun andstraight forward - no punches are pulled. I had to listen to the tape overand over again because I suddenly realized how much of life I have missedbecause I had not defined exactly what I wanted out of life. It is a very good book , but it has too much praise about Warren Buffet too much introduction stuff and Warren Buffet's praises

Agood basic introduction to Warren Buffett Investing
Buy this book if you are looking for a very basic book to start learning Warren Buffett's investing style. You will only get information on the companies he has purchased and their performance and a very basic explanation on why Mr. Buffett thought they were such great values when he bought them.There is no technical explanation here on how to figure book value or how to find your own value stocks. It reads like "The history of Warren Buffett" not "How to invest like Warren Buffett".
Not much depth, but interesting for a casual reader
Unlike many reviewers of this book, I did not expect an in-depth analysis of Warren Buffett's investment methods when I read this work.In fact I approached it as casual reading-at the time I wasn't really interested in finance and was just reading it more for biographical reasons.I enjoyed the book because of that-I didn't really expect much and therefore wasn't let down.The book is fairly well written and goes into enough detail for the casual reader.There's enough information about Buffett's investment strategy to have a basic understanding of why he's so good at what he does, but not so much information that someone uninterested in finance would find it tedious.

This is an interesting book for someone who is just starting on a personal improvement plan. The best part about it is that Gegax's approach is holistic - he really has a strong understanding of the connection between the mind, body and spirit. The writing style is smooth and the book is easy to read. The concepts all make sense and he gives a clear plan for readers to follow in applying his steps. The parts I found most useful were the first two sections, on personal mission statements and action planning. After that, I found the book was at turns too simplistic and too far out there for me. Planning your work, and working your plan
I heard Tom speak at a business conference in Santa Fe recently and found his ideas very compelling. The book focuses on how to put those ideas into action, and I view it to be an excellent guide for organizing how I think about work, family, friends, emotional & spritual health, etc. As a 48 year old CEO, I have discovered you can help an pld dog pick a new path.

A worthwhile read on the Mission Statement alone
I thought the core of the book for me was in the first 2 chapters, where the author expressed the importance of a personal mission statement, writing about his own example as well. After that, I found the book a bit repetitious. Read more

As part of my Lotusphere preparation, I read the book 101 Secrets Of Highly Effective Speakers by Caryl Rae Krannich.As the title indicates, it's a series of short "secrets" (tips) on how to make effective presentations.The tips are broken up into categories such as Plan To Exceed Expectation, Build Your Body - Your Speech Body, Close With Power, and Prepare Like A Pro. True to the title, Ms. Krannich outlines, in a sensible order, 101 eminently useful tidbits on public speaking.She covers everything from the speaker's posture to controlling anxiety to the actual environment of the room, giving fledgling speakers insights that might have taken years of trial and error otherwise. True, there are limitations in the user-friendly self-help style Ms. Krannich adopts.At times , things seem a little too overly simplified; at other times, she doesn't explain enough why the technique is useful.Most of the time though, she offers well reasoned common sense.Definitely useful. ... Possibly WAITLEY's best program
In New Dynamics of Goal setting, the great Dr. Denis Waitley introduces the concept of FLEXTACTICS of which there are 10 Flextactic strategies: definitely a step in the right direction
As the world changes rapidly around us, Denis Waitley recommends, among others, a good old fashioned remedy: "Write your ideas on paper.Then review them frequently." Will make you believe 'you can do it'

Exceptional narrative of a great leader
Donald T. Phillips does an exceptional job at narrating the life of the late great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He does an incredible job in tying in the aspects of Dr. King's life as a man, and activist together with the principals of Leadership. A must read for aspiring leaders
Donald Phillips did a wonderful job of telling the story of Martin Luther King Jr. from his childhood to his death, and connecting it all to a marvelous leadership style.Being a student of leadership studies and a fan of Martin Luther King Jr., I chose this book as a study of both subjects.Having read it, I have to say I learned more about leadership from this book than any other I have read.However, I am no longer a fan of MLK......... he is now a hero of mine. Insightful!
Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have A Dream" speech was voted the most electrifying public address of the twentieth century. It takes some kind of a leader to give that kind of a speech. Donald T. Phillips presents the ideals of leadership that Martin Luther King Jr. followed in an overview of the history of the civil rights struggle. Phillips describes the techniques King used at various stages of the civil rights battle. He also shares King's comments on leadership. Many of the principles will be quite familiar: listen to learn, lead by being led, awaken direct action, encourage creativity and involve the people. However, the book is especially interesting when it demonstrates how King put these principles into practice. This well-organized, well-written book is clear, direct, and easy to read.
