5-0 out of 5 stars Extraordinary
This is one of the most unusual, in-depth and extraordinary books I have read recently. Robert Greene is definitely into the know how of "the art of seduction". I agree that this is quite controversial topic and no wonder that some people are reluctant to explore this area of knowledge. Unfortunately, the reality nowadays makes it a must read. Why? Companies try to manipulate people, medias try to channel your opinion and mindset, and if you are successful and good looking man then there may be many women racing to capture you exclusively for themselves. I am thankful to Greene for revealing that seduction is an old art that is relevant more than ever and it is better to know as much as possible about it. Of course, if your intention is to score better with women then I strongly recommend in addition the bestseller scientifically guaranteed male multiple orgasms and ultimate sex. The ultimate goal of such books is to give you an edge over the others, the competition. If you have it, then it will be easier for you to advance and have fun along the way. Otherwise, you may be one of the left behind by someone else who knows the pros and cons in and out of bed.

5-0 out of 5 stars Yes it is an art!
Greene has clearly drawn out the ways of the seducer. Most of the men and women in here are naturals at seduction and are not consciously doing the principles taught. But those that tend to mess up their seductions can learn quite a few things from these people. With everything i teach at my site The Seduction Bible, i still believe that this book is excellent for those looking to score that one special girl. Those wanting to learn how to go out to a bar to pick up a woman are better off on sites like mine. But this book deserves 5 stars!

5-0 out of 5 stars Interesting read.
I thought this book was a very interesting read but wonder, will it really work in real life? There are principals to apply and prehaps morals to leave at the door, which seems to be what others are concerned about. However, it probably will work, if you can deal with the fallout that might happen.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very practical basedon experience....Awesome way to start the game. :-)
I read this book since i wanted to understand the business world. This book was very insightful about open book leadership and motivating employees with numbers and equity in the company. I saw some comments from others stating the chaina product price will beat all these principles. I think this guy got partial truth in his statement. A good business will do business using resources from chaina and focus on the advantages they have locally (Marketing and Selling). Principles are principles anywere. Awesome way to start the game. :-)

Stack was chosen to lead a former International Harvester plant that was nearly bankrupt.Instead of massive layoffs he focused on rapidly increasing sales and obtaining employee involvement through opening the books.
5-0 out of 5 stars Stack is Ahead of the Pack
When I first read this book (several years ago), I knew it would become important to my consulting business. It has become a book I purchase for my clients, especially (but not exclusively) those who own their own businesses.

3-0 out of 5 stars Was he taking a nap on this one?
Any book Trump pens is a good investment, and in this his second offering, he tells stories, names names, and provides worthwhile insight. But compared to The Art of the Deal and his third book, The Art of the Comeback, he seems to have done this one lying down. There is significantly less material, fewer hot scoops, and less of the bottom-line rhetoric Trump has made his style.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good insight
Who knows more about Trump than Trump himself? This is a good book if you want to know more about Trump. At times he is sincere; like when he tells of the various disadvantaged people he has helped. At times he sounds really fake; he mentions how he admires the courage of gamblers. That is alot of boloney. At times he is boastful; the Trump Princess is the best yacht ever built. But hate him or love him, he says it like it is.He seems very vindictive as evident with his numerous attacks on some very famous people throughout the book. But for those who are his friends, he has nothing but praise for them.He doesn't play politics, but what he does do is make deals and makes a whole bunch of them in this book. One of the recurring themes of the book is to wait for the right price even if it means giving it up and not to let emotions dictate the price. In many instances, the deal comes back to him and at an even better price than ever.

5-0 out of 5 stars The one book I refer and give over and over again.
When any of my friends get promoted to management, I give them a copy of this book. I like reading lots of different business books, but this is one I refer to over and over again. Sage advice that is a breeze to read through and will motivate you to do the right things with your business and your team.

5-0 out of 5 stars Should be required reading for managers
I read this book first some 6 years ago when I first got into management. A former copier salesperson myself, Frank's story isn't just one of inspiration. His strategies, tips and techniques to motivate a staff are dead on. The owner of a sales training company today, I still find myself utilizing his strategies when I provide my own individual sales coaching. This book is guaranteed to make you money. 5 stars all the way!4-0 out of 5 stars Basic rules in how to revive a business.
If you have been to business school, most of these pointers have been learned.Still books like this are a refreshing read on how to revive a business.Frank has ten pointers to learn, but most businessmen already know these.I can summarize some:work hard, start early, work as a team, recognize employees who perform, and before you leave for the day, make one final effort.Read more

Editorial Review

Invoking the words and spirit of Thomas Paine, investor-turned-historian John Bogle concedes that his ideas for revamping the mutual-fund industry are perhaps "not yet sufficiently fashionable to procure them general favor." But despite likening the "ills and injustices suffered by mutual fund investors" to those "our forebears suffered under English tyranny," Bogle--founder of the Vanguard Group--makes a strong case for index funds with this exhaustive study of investing.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great book!
This book has the fundamental of indexing and why we should consider it as part of building our financial portfolio. Bogle is at his best preaching the value of indexing and how it relates to lower cost investing. This eventually translates to higher return for the investors and less profit to the brokerage firms that make money on trading.
5-0 out of 5 stars Insight on The Concept of Indexing
Mr. Bogle, the founder of The Vanguard Group, does an excellent job explaining the value of indexing and shows historical and relative information that bases his knowledge on facts. A great book for any investor, both new and experienced, that will help make your investment strategy more intelligent and educated - especially if you believe that it's almost impossible to beat the market on your own. The book can be difficult to read at times, so make sure your energy level is high before you indulge.

4-0 out of 5 stars Bogle is Required Reading
Bogle, Bob Brinker, and Jane Bryant Quinn sold me on the idea of index funds. There are some who believe you need to stick to actively managed funds to, as one money manager told me, "be there to steer the plane away from the mountain at the last minute." Hogwash, especially when you consider a lot of blend funds have 95 percent the same allocations as comparable index funds, only you pay the higher expense ratios.

4-0 out of 5 stars A good book
This is a good book it's longer then some of her other ones and it has a lot more exercises in it then some of her other books so unless you have a lot of time on your hands it will take a while to read it. But, other then that it is a good book and I did enjoy it. I'm going to start to read practical intuition in love.

2-0 out of 5 stars More for self-employed people
If you are self-employed this is helpful as entrepreneurs are intuitive by nature. Could have been edited better. Another great book is Lynne Robinson's"Divine Prosperity" which I believe, includes, The Prosperity Prayer.
5-0 out of 5 stars Reframes Thinking on Intuition
From a practical standpoint, Day separates thinking of emotions, pure logic and reasoning from intuition. She defines this intuitive thinking as logical and, essential for success. Her thoughts are quite compelling. Rather than the pure gut feeling or abstractions that generally constitute intuition, Day develops an understanding of how this skill can be cultivated from both thought and feeling. Rather than an illogical urge, it becomes a developed sense. The exercises and examples extensively developed empower the reader to adapt this skill for personal achievement. A good read. ... John Wooden was named ESPN's Coach of the Century for the way he led his UCLA basketball team to the top of the sporting world in the 1960s and '70s. Andrew Hill was a rebellious and sparingly used reserve on the squad before becoming a successful television executive. While it's doubtful that either would have predicted it at the time, the lessons imparted on the court by Wooden eventually helped Hill reach the top of his profession. And in Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars What a great little book!
I really enjoyed this book by Andy Hill. Not until he realized his own successes and failures did he fully see all that he learned from coach Wooden. The foundational principles taught by coach Wooden are one's that we can all admire."Make each day your masterpiece."Buy this book, then give it to a friend.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent advice for anyone in a leadership position
The book begins with a brief summary of Hill's introduction to Wooden and Hill realization that the only reason he's made it this far is because Wooden's teachings so ingrained in his mind from his time at UCLA and that they are applicable to all aspects of life.He relates Wooden's 21 "secrets" to his business life, and demonstrates how they guided him to the top. It's amazing how perfectly these teachings fit into regular life.John Wooden is truly an enlightened soul.5-0 out of 5 stars The teachings of basketball related to the lessons in life!
Be Quick - But Don't Hurry! by Andrew Hill may be one of the most influential books I have ever read. The author teaches the reader about how to be successful in any aspect of life through the teachings of what John Wooden had taught him at UCLA.John Wooden is arguably the best coach of all time, for any sport or level of play, so it makes sense that the key to his achievement as a coach was based on a plan that truly worked. He called his "plan" the Pyramid of Success, and he enforced it upon every athlete that played for him.Andrew Hill was a great High School basketball player but did not shine in basketball as much at UCLA during the late 1960's and early 1970's, but the lessons he got out of John Wooden lead him to be a business success in the television broadcasting industry for CBS.If you are a fan of basketball, this book will interest you, because it relates basketball to succession in business, and makes the keys to business succession easy to understand. All in all, this book will teach you at least one lesson, and will probably leave you with ideas of changing your life style to achieve exactly what you want in life. This is a definite must read book. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars the business mindset
Reader,
2-0 out of 5 stars Wait for the Cliffs Notes
This book was recommended by someone a lot more financially successful than I am.But while I was reading, I kept asking myself, "When's he going to get to the point?"The first part of the book is all about why it's good to be rich--something I thought was unnecessary. The bulk of the book is filled with anecdotes that try to illustrate the different mindset of rich people as compared to middle-class and poor. Finally, in the last part of the book, he gives some practical examples of what he considers to be good investment strategy. This was the only part of the book I was interested in.To me, it was like his publicist told him that no one is going to buy a 30-page book on investing and so Kiyosaki wrote what he knew about making money and filled the rest with "fluff".However, even his advice is considered questionable by many experts.I would say that the main idea I got from this book was to try to look at investing from different angles and not to just follow the crowd.I just wish I hadn't invested so much time in a book that could have been a lot more concise.

4-0 out of 5 stars Best of
I think this is the best of the series. It is real easy to read which I like because you can finish it fast. It has some great lessons and makes some wonderful points about investing for future retirement. Anyone can learn something from this that they can put to good use.

4-0 out of 5 stars Intelligence and counter-intelligence in business
"Intelligence" in this book is used in its strategic sense - building knowledge of competitors and determining what internal knowledge needs to be protected from others and how to protect it. The book focuses on building competitive advantage through an understanding of intelligence, and integrating this focus with wider aspects of knowledge management. 5-0 out of 5 stars This book pays for itself
If you read and follow the principles in this book you will make enough money on your trades to pay for this book many times over.
