Sounds Good, but Won't Work!
The timing for this book couldn't be better - an era of skyrocketing deficits, an aging population (boosting pension outlays), inexorable increases in healthcare costs (fewer workers with health insurance, aging population), and businesses increasingly threatening to move elsewhere unless they receive tax relief.

To start, the organization that put this book out is the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.Some of the more well-known members of this group include Paul Wolfowitz and Richard Perle, both of whom serve(d) on the Board of Advisors.Think about the logic that people like these two put out there before the war and you'll have a pretty good idea about this book.

Northrup does it again!
"Profitable Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance" is well written and easy to read. Northrup quickly demonstrates an extrordinary grasp of his topic. He carefully uses his knowledge of process-improvement methodologies to guide his readers to achieve SOX compliance economically and painlessly. He also shows how organizations can leverage the COSO framework for improved enterprise risk management and create a culture of continuous process improvement. I have already put some of his ideas to work and have realized measurable gains for several of my clients.
