Wait for the Cliffs Notes
This book was recommended by someone a lot more financially successful than I am.But while I was reading, I kept asking myself, "When's he going to get to the point?"The first part of the book is all about why it's good to be rich--something I thought was unnecessary.The bulk of the book is filled with anecdotes that try to illustrate the different mindset of rich people as compared to middle-class and poor.Finally, in the last part of the book, he gives some practical examples of what he considers to be good investment strategy. This was the only part of the book I was interested in.To me, it was like his publicist told him that no one is going to buy a 30-page book on investing and so Kiyosaki wrote what he knew about making money and filled the rest with "fluff".However, even his advice is considered questionable by many experts.I would say that the main idea I got from this book was to try to look at investing from different angles and not to just follow the crowd.I just wish I hadn't invested so much time in a book that could have been a lot more concise.

Best of
I think this is the best of the series. It is real easy to read which I like because you can finish it fast. It has some great lessons and makes some wonderful points about investing for future retirement. Anyone can learn something from this that they can put to good use.

Simple and Practical

Excellent for two reasons
This book is excellent for two primary reasons:
I wish I had this book when I was a business student studying finance
I quite enjoyed this book and recommend it strongly for any business student (BBA or MBA) who is interested in this topic.For finance majors who don't have a firm grip on credit risk and the instruments used to moderate its effects, this is a must read.It is well written, clearly illustrated, and is not excessively technical.

Thousands of Practice Questions and Simulations
This book contains thousands of multiple choice questions and quite a few simulations. I am using it in addition to a Becker review course. It has some of the same questions as the Becker material (probably 30 percent), but there are many questions not included in Becker, and some of them have a very different focus and style. I think this makes the book worth the $60 price, just to fill in the gaps.If you are not using a review course, the Wiley reviews are also recommended, individually or in the four volume set. ... Set up your books so performance can be measured
This is not an easy-read book. It is much like a cookbook - there are all kinds of recipes (formulas) identified and explained. A must-read for anyone who wants to start, run, and grow a business.
An excellent business resource
Business Ratios and Formulas, A Comprehensive Guide, is the most thorough reference book of its type.Steven Bragg provides a complete explanation of each business ratio and formula and follows each with a scenario example of their applications.Also provided is a discussion of how the resultant calculation can be misleading or should be used in conjunction with other ratios.I have not seen this feature in any other book of its kind.Read more

DO NOT PASS THIS BOOK UP!!!
I mean it when I say do not pass this book up.There is so much useful information about investing in money that we all should have learned before we got into the work force.I recommend he create a book for high school students that needs to mandatory reading.
Tools for Achieving Financial Freedom

Incorporating your Business for Dummies
The book gave a good review of the different types of Incorporation. The type that might be best for any business desired with different requirements and tax advantages of each type. Whether one has partners makes a difference in type needed or whether one wants to sell stock in their company or not.
Lots of Incorrect Information
This book is in a word HORRIBLE.Some of this information is dangerous to someone starting up a business because it is incorrect.Unfortunately, the Wiley Dummy series hires low end authors who aren't experts and don't research the topics. Good as a starter, but you will need more.
Inc for Dummies is not just for dummies, it is a good book on How To Incorporate, but you will need more.Read more

Financial Book Review
I am an MBA student and had to use this book for my Advanced Finance class. It is the most usless book I have purchased for any MBA class.VERY hard to follow and it provides very complicated and unclear examples of how to solve problems or understand concepts.I also got the study guide which was more helpful than the book itself, but it also was horrible.I am not sure why professors choose this book.I used my other finance books and the Internet to help me get through the class, as this book was hard to read, not well organized and offered little help to answer questions that required financial calculations.You better be up on finance topics, statistics, and know all the little symbols because that's all the book provides you.It does little to help you apply real world solutions to "theoretical" problems.

Bad Finances
I am presently in a MBA program and have been forced to use this book for our intermediate financial decison class. I have found it to be of very little help and actually muddles things more than clarifying or explaining finances. I have bought 3 other financial books in order to understand the class, all of them better written and far cheaper. This book is terrible in its' semi-explanations of financial formulas. Trying to tie these formulas and examples into any sort of problem application is almost impossible. If you end up having to use this book for a class, you must be prepared to spend a lot more time and moneyin searching for books that will truly do the job right.

A tough way to learn advanced finance
I'm a finance undergrad and currently in an MBA program and had to use this book for my advanced topics in finance class.The book is a difficult read. Hard to mow your way through the subjects and come out feeling like you learned something.CD is only mildly helpful.I also purchased the study guide and it was just as poorly designed/organized/written as the book.

Recommendation from a Credit Derivatives Trader
This is my fourth purchase; this one is for a new analyst I hired.I have read Janet Tavakoli's book as well as all of the current literature on credit derivatives.This book is one of the best books on derivatives I have read in terms of style of writing and content (I'm not after the mathematics on finance; there are plenty of those).I am a current successful credit derivatives trader.

Good collection
I am a Fin Math student and by now a Google search expert. I do have this book from my library and it requires patience .

Outstanding Accounting Book
This is an outstanding book for studying accounting.It gives an excellent survey of basic financial and managerial accounting.Students will find a treasured spot with the online resources.The lessons presented in PowerPoint are great learning tools to reinforce each chapter in the book.Using the templates to complete homework assignments is just wonderful.I recommend students don't just pass over these resources without even trying them.They will make your studies much easier.
